World Autism Awareness Day

So I’ve been spending lots of time working on my new website, and no time over here at my blog. I have to admit, I really think I should have hired someone to do the website work for me. But now I’ve gone this far, I have to finish it! I’m very excited for the launch, which should be very soon...new, edgy look, new music, new photos...very, very soon! I wanted to write a quick post about Autism Awareness Day...fortunately my family has not been affected by autism, but I think if you’re a parent- you should be aware of autism, the red flags to look for, and the discussions raging in the medical community.

 I highly recommend the book Mother Warriors  by Jenny McCarthy. Even though I don’t have a child with autism, I took some great information from that book. I also received the powerful message that every mother is their child’s warrior. Whether you are fighting for their health, or just their ability to stay happy and creatively stimulated on a rainy day, you are the one most interested and invested in your child’s life. With the launch of my new website, I've decided to combine my personal and business blogs into one. I feel that they are so intertwined, it only makes sense to share my business goals, triumphs, and news with my family and friends. It's also very important to me that I remain open to my clients, so I want you to get a peek into my personal life. See what makes me, me!

If you've visited my blog before, you're probably wondering where the years of posts have gone- well, they're all safe on my hard drive and waiting to be uploaded into a Blurb book. Since this is a new chapter in my life, I wanted to wipe my virtual slate clean, so to speak, and start fresh with a new blank page, and a new look that allows me to show photos in a larger format.
