I have lots to share in the next few days- weddings, babies, personal pictures and stories from our weekend, so stay tuned!

When I said I was taking a few sick days in my last post, what I should have said was I was taking a few sick weeks. Ugh. I've never been knocked out like that before- well, maybe when I was little, but when you're little you get to miss school so the longer the better and you hardly notice time passing. When you have adult responsibilities like running a home, raising a child, and working a job, you notice each and every second that you're in bed wallowing in your own self pity. Especially when the laundry is piling up, the toddler is pulling your hair because he's bored and hasn't been outside for days, and clients are sending very friendly and very frequent text messages hoping you're feeling better because they're dying to see their pictures! 

And then our dog needed emergency surgery and is requiring lots of attention, but that's a whole 'nother story! So here is the start of a long string of sessions that I'm finishing up...

Ashleigh and Brandon are getting married next spring and I love the ideas that they have for their wedding...I won't tell them here in case they don't want everyone to know their decor ideas, but I will say it's cute and original! They have two very cute puppies who think they own the place...

Super HOT!

You guys are so cute together and I'm so happy for you! I love meeting new people especially ones as sweet as you!

Shannon and Kevin Engagement Session | Atlanta Engagement Photographer

You know in the movie Hitch, when Will Smith (Hitch) is trying to explain to Kevin James (Albert) how to give a woman a kiss at the end of a date? He's says to lean in 90% and let her make the move for the other 10%... Shannon and Kevin were so cute and kept using that example when I told them to "almost kiss." So from here on out that's going to be my new description for that type of kiss- the 90% kiss!

  

  

Shannon had arranged for us to go to Barnsley Gardens and Oh. My. Gosh. I'd never been there before and my jaw seriously hit the ground when I pulled up. BEAUTIFUL. And SO quiet and peaceful. There's a really sweet story about the house in the above pictures, and it's just a really cool, really magical place.

  

I think they should tell people that this is their house... :-)

Heather and Steve Engagement Session/ Atlanta Engagement Photographer

Oh my gosh I think this shoot was one of my favorites so far. Heather and Steve kept saying that they were SO un photogenic- um, I proved them SO wrong! Hottie hot hotness...

As soon as heather got out of the car with her plaid stilettos, I knew this was gonna be good. They wanted a super-preppy look first, so we went to a big open field for the first half of the session. They were troopers and braved the snakes and waist high grass, and I think it was totally worth it, don't you?

Then they did a quick wardrobe change in the car- told you they were troopers- and we headed to the warehouses...

New Favorite- I LOVE this shot! I think it's going on my wall!

Heather and Steve- I just love you both so much and I'm so happy to see you so happy! I can really see the love between you two, and you have a fire for each other that is just so unique and hard to find. I can't wait to be there on your wedding day and I'm privileged that you asked me to be a part of such an intimate day! Enjoy your gallery- your password is on it's way!

leslie & tommy...

I had the chance to photograph this beautiful couple recently, and I just love how these pictures turned out! We actually had two sessions- a few minutes into their first session, the sky turned black and it started pouring! We ended up talking in their family room (with no power) for a long time before deciding that we should just reschedule! Our second try was much better- the weather was beautiful! They were such troopers too- poor Leslie was just eaten alive by mosquitoes in the first 5 minutes but she managed to not look uncomfortable!

Look at those eyes!! Aren't they just AMAZING?

We were dodging security for this one!
